Privacy Policy

Genesys Helpers is a Chrome extension designed to improve usability within the Genesys Cloud platform by preventing accidental tab closure and cleaning invalid characters from pasted phone numbers. This extension fully complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy and does not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal or sensitive user data.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

Genesys Helpers does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:

• Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other contact information
• Account details, authentication credentials, or login information
• Interaction data, call data, or communication content
• Financial or payment information
• Browsing history, full URLs visited, or page content
• Location data
• Device identifiers, network information, or analytics data
• Clipboard contents, beyond the momentary processing described below

No user data is transmitted to any external server. All processing occurs solely on the user’s local device.

2. Clipboard Access

The extension uses Chrome's clipboardRead and clipboardWrite permissions only in direct response to an explicit user action, such as pressing Ctrl+V or using the browser’s Paste command inside Genesys Cloud input fields.

Clipboard text is temporarily accessed solely to sanitize phone-number formatting (for example, removing characters such as /) so that it is compatible with the Genesys Cloud interface.

Clipboard contents are:

• Not stored
• Not logged
• Not transmitted
• Never accessed automatically
• Never accessed in the background

All clipboard handling occurs entirely within the user’s browser and is limited to the immediate paste operation.

3. Storage Permission

The extension uses Chrome’s storage.sync API to save only non-personal preference data, such as:

• Whether tab-close confirmation is enabled
• Any additional domains the user chooses to protect

This data is used exclusively to control the behavior of the extension and is stored locally in the browser using Chrome’s built-in storage mechanism. No personal data is stored, and this preference data is never shared or transmitted to external servers.

4. Host Permissions

Genesys Helpers runs exclusively on the following domains:

*://*.pure.cloud/*

These host permissions are required so the extension can:

• Display a confirmation prompt when a Genesys Cloud tab is about to be closed or refreshed
• Sanitize pasted phone numbers within input fields in the Genesys Cloud interface

The extension does not run on any other websites and does not access, collect, or modify content outside these Genesys Cloud pages.

5. No Remote Code

This extension does not use any remote code or external scripts. All code is packaged locally with the extension and complies fully with Chrome Manifest V3 security requirements.

This includes:

• No external JavaScript files or CDNs
• No use of eval() or dynamic code execution
• No remote configuration files
• No external network or API requests

6. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing

Genesys Helpers does not use, integrate with, or communicate with any third-party analytics, advertising networks, or data-processing services.

The extension does not sell, share, or transfer any data to third parties.

7. Children’s Privacy

Since Genesys Helpers does not collect any data, it does not knowingly collect information from children under 13 and is fully compliant with COPPA. The extension is intended for use by adults in a professional context.

8. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated if the extension adds new features or if privacy requirements change. Any changes will be reflected on this page, and the Effective Date will be updated accordingly.
